About

Improving the quality of life in Council Bluffs & Southwest Iowa

Southwest Iowa Nonprofit for Collective Impact (SINC) is an Iowa 501(c)(3) formed to use the “collective impact” approach to envision, design, and partner on major transformative projects in Southwest Iowa. These transformational projects involve partnerships with various large nonprofits, governmental and non-governmental agencies, and major philanthropists throughout the region.

Informed by our experience, we determined that successful large scale projects culminate from shared ideas and collective resources. The Riverfront Phase Four, the first major project undertaken by SINC, is an example of this process. We engaged various large nonprofits, governmental and non-governmental agencies and individual philanthropists to partner on this $45 million dollar improvement to the Riverfront. The result will be a regional attraction that will be enjoyed by many and which will lead to significant economic development opportunities. This project exemplifies the
meaning of “collective impact”.

Transformational Impact

SINC is always looking for the next great transformational project. Its board members are active in the community and its executive team is focused on working to find partners for that next innovative project.

Our focus areas for these projects include education, healthcare, human services, community and economic development and quality of life.
